2014 Winners Announced
Last night at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London the annual Broadcast Awards took place in front of an audience of more than 1,300 people
ITV was crowned Channel of the year, with key shows Broadchurch, Coronation Street and Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway also picking up prizes.
The unstoppable Ant and Dec won Best Entertainment Programme for Saturday Night Takeaway, and Broadchurch picked up a double win for Best Drama Series or Serial and Best International Sales.
Channel 4's Gogglebox, which observes members of the public watching a selection of the week's TV in their living rooms, was named both Best original programme and Best popular factual, while Best documentary series went to Channel 4's Educating Yorkshire
Twofour, was named Indie of the year and Best Soap / Continuing Drama went to Coronation Street.
Broadcast editor Chris Curtis said: "2013 was a great year for telly across the board, with some standout shows. Broadchurch breathed new life into the whodunit, Educating Yorkshire was funny and moving, and Gogglebox was a genuine word-of-mouth smash. All three have the potential to be big international successes, and prove the power of British TV."
